I just read the "Comparisons" entry in the blog and I wanted to add 2 films that could be found useful for inspiration.
- "Que la fête commence" (Let Joy Reign Supreme) is set in France during the 18th century French Régence.
- "Mon Oncle Benjamin" (My uncle Benjamin) is also set in France during the time of Louis XV.
A bit too early in the 18th century next to Carnevale but that could give some ideas about the Patricians' way of life.
