Starting Doctors list

Hi all! brand new player here, I learned the game yesterday from a friend and am sold. I really like the doctor faction and now that I know some of the rules I am starting to put together my beginner list to play around with, im looking right now at 200 points.

So here is the list

Plage Doctor 65 points
-spells
Protection of the eye
Mother Hydra's claws
Curse

Doctor of Arsenale 53
- Cannon of derangemnt

Warden 25
Warden 25

Madman 10 points
Madman 10 points
Madman 10 points

Total 198

So What do you guys think? I got some good range, wardens to tie up fast movers. The claw spell is sorta confusing, lets see if i got it right, with the plague docters mind of 6 i roll 4 dice i then pick X targets and do X damage to each target where X = the amount of aces i get, also these hit ignore protection stats? Am I also right in thinking my Doctor of Arsenale Ignores protection stats with his big gun as well?

Any advice on the list is most welcome,

Hi Timelapse, nice to meet you. Not bad, but i'm not a fan of the Protection of the eye spell, i prefer infernal images. And when you try the rino, you can't stop playing with it, jeje.
I think you have so much madmen by 2 dr. but if you use every time the madmen's karma, they can be unstoppable

On your rules queries. You got it right with the Claws spell :)
On your second question, it depends on the model of cannon you're using.

Advice on the list? I think it looks pretty hard! And the good news, is that you will be able to throw the Warden model in there pretty soon ;)

Aha! you caught the message, Silveri! :)
In the next few days (that is probably early next week), we will start showing some images in this web site and Facebook, that will be a countdown towards the first weekend of march. Stay tuned!

I am thinking about taking a mad man out and adding a bow to my plague doctor. I figure that having an attack that will not cost karma may be useful, bit to lose a mad man that's a 9 karma pool lost. What do you guys think?

Remember that you need to play at least one game in the campaign mode before you can add the bow.

Oh okay im not sure how the campaign play will be like yet we just played some random games to get the feel for the rules. I can't wait i ordered my models in and i should get them at the end of this week or the start of the next.... I can't wait to get started painting them.

With only 2 docs to use them with, give 2 to follow the plague doctor and 1 to follow the arsenale doctor. I wouldn't go for 4 yet.

Play a game and then see how they fit your style of play.

True. but i played one time with doctors (yes, i know isn't enought) i use 3 madmen and the karma points was neverending. I think you need to play some more games to find the exact number you use.

Yeah having 3 is good for now, but i am finding that they are also useful for activation control. If i activate them first i can make my opponet move key models into range before my key models activate.

having 7 models means that i will most likey won't be out activated but three madman seems to be the right number for now.
