Not sure where to post rules queries.....

..... so I'll just post it here!

Two questions:

1) In a game last night (first game! Woot! Finally!) I wanted to cast 'curse' and 'spiritual bond' at a Barnaboti that was in melee with a Doctor of the Arsenale. I couldn't see anything in the rules about targeting a model in melee with magic, does it follow the same rules as shooting into melee? (ie: -1 dice per friendly model engaged?)

2) When shooting with a blast weapon, if I roll a critical do all models covered by the template suffer 'stunned'? Similarly, if I roll a '1' how does it work? Does it automatically count as a fumble or does it only count as a fumble if no models are hit by the template? Also, how does it affect damage if it's not a fumble? (damage -1?)

Actually, I think I just figured out question 2. Since I won't have rolled any aces (rolling a single die and getting a '1') it will always be a 'fumble' rolling a '1' with a blast weapon. Correct?

Game was really good, and I'm not just saying that. Really enjoyed the game and look forward to playing more. It was more of a 'getting to know the rules' game so we were just experimenting really.

The Doctors are going to take a bit of practice to get the most out of them I think! Once melee was joined, I didn't really stand much of a chance. The high protection of the Patricians made it really difficult to get much damage on them in melee so they sliced me up rather quickly. It didn't help that I underestimated how fast his Noble was and lost my Plague Doctor quite quickly. Still, next time I'll be better prepared (and will have a Rhino :D)
